About the Role 

The Recruitment Advisor will manage the  recruitment process for all recruitment needs across the business.

The role will develop initiatives to attract talent to SmartSearch to fill recruitment requirements and build a candidate pipeline for future opportunities.

Ultimately, you will help us build a strong employer brand and ensure we provide a positive candidate experience.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

  • To ensure all approved recruitment requests are filled in a timely and efficient manner
  • Creating appealing job adverts to attract candidates to SmartSearch
  • Working with the Marketing Team to develop the career pages of the company website
  • Filling vacancies via direct channels wherever possible to save on agency recruitment fees
  • Attending careers fairs to promote the SmartSearch brand
  • Developing and supporting apprenticeship/graduate schemes as required
  • Strong candidate selection skills
  • Create and develop existing interview processes to provide the best candidate selection process
  • Managing a candidate database and building a candidate pipeline
  • Building relationships with recruitment partners including agencies where required
  • Reviewing current selection methods and advising hiring managers on potential improvements to recruitment processes
  • Creating literature to support all recruitment initiatives/candidate packs
  • Working with the Personnel Manager to utilise the recruitment budget in the most effective way
  • Developing recruitment policies and interview formats
  • Support other areas of the talent management team as and when required

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience in a recruitment advisor role
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Creative mindset
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to work to targets such as time to hire, cost per hire etc
  • Professional and approachable manner
  • An HR background would be an advantage but not essential
  • Strong technical skills in MS word, Excel, Powerpoint
