Strategic Alliances Manager

The Strategic Alliances Manager has the responsibility for optimizing new business opportunities across multiple market segments to enable SmartSearch to achieve our growth ambitions in mid/Enterprise sectors.

You will identify and target key Resellers/Partners/Introducers who are well established and networked across multiple markets, where AML solutions are utilised, in order to grow SmartSearch’s market presence.


  • Identify opportunities for new resellers and partnerships to expand our reach, while maintaining a solid pipeline of new potential partners.

  • Map and understand partner capabilities and priorities in order to establish and deliver strategies to meet revenue targets

  • Work closely with VP of Enterprise, Go To Market, Marketing, Market Engagement, Customer Success and pre-sales engineers to establish a strategy to obtain new and incremental revenue.

  • Build networks of strategic partners across various sectors to identify opportunities for sustainability and growth

  • Develop an expert level of knowledge of SmartSearch products and features, including the product roadmap

  • Manage the full sales cycles and the acquisition of new customers, ensuring the sales process and go-to-market activities differentiate our solutions to the client by providing a consultative, expert approach

  • Managing all data related to Partnerships and ensuring CRM (HubSpot) is maintained and updated

  • Proactively and diligently manage all aspects of the partner relationship on-boarding, negotiations, working closely with the Strategic Partnership Manager on handovers.

  • Work with partners and internal teams to create and manage mutually agreeable roadmaps for success over the next 3-5 years, and work to ensure that partners are tracking to plan.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement in our processes as well as communicating and advocating for partner needs and goals to the business

  • Ensuring that the client experience is world class. You need to set an aspirational tone for the new relationship.

  • Prior experience in a SaaS sales or partnerships role, or strong knowledge of the AML sector

  • Demonstrable experience of acquiring and developing strategic partnerships successfully using playbooks, account planning and consistently performing against objectives

  • Experience negotiating partner contracts with C-Level executives.

  • Target Driven, tenacious & resilient with a commercially aware mindset

  • Proactive, energetic, accountable, and passionate individual with the tendency to go above and beyond

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills – the ability to listen, understand, influence, and inspire

  • Demonstratable ability to respond to high impact client/product escalations in a way that ultimately drives client loyalty and advocacy

  • Ability to engage with and develop positive and productive relationships with stakeholders at Director/C-level

  • Data driven and analytical in approach to commercials and pricing ensuring that the needs of SmartSearch are always taken into consideration

  • Knowledgeable on RegTech trends and able to have high level conversations with your clients at Board level

  • Driven and resilient with the ability to learn from your mistakes

  • Ability to collaborate with employees from all departments and at all levels within SmartSearch
