Retrospective checks

Retrospective checks are AML/ID checks performed on individuals who are already clients and will generally be used if manual, document-based checks had been used prior to switching to electronic verification, if initial checks on a client were not completed fully, or if more frequent CDD is needed based on customer risk-level.

SmartSearch can perform retrospective checks via a bulk-upload to verify historic customers and resolve any intermittent compliance gaps. This guarantees all SmartSearch clients will always have a fully comprehensive and compliant customer database and are ready for internal audits and regulatory visits at all times.
