HOW WILL YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

This is an opportunity for an exciting career as a Business Analyst as part of the SmartSearch Project Delivery Team. Having recently secured new Private Equity investment we are pursuing an ambitious strategic growth plan coupled with achieving operational excellence. We are searching for an experienced Business Analyst to bring their specialism to a series of strategic initiatives to ensure SmartSearch define and deliver change excellently.

As part of a Project Delivery Team, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to define requirements, map processes, critically evaluate and support solution design supporting projects from start to finish. This role suits a curious and proactive individual driven by quality and excellence who enjoys a fast paced, thriving environment with a great company culture.

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to define requirements, prioritise and be responsible for their traceability throughout the change lifecycle.

  • Elicit from stakeholders and document ‘as is’ process maps, identifying interconnections and dependencies.

  • Critically evaluate processes and provide thought leadership in the creation of ‘to be’ process solutions and process re-engineering proposals.

  • Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage from requirements gathering through to delivery of the change.

  • Work with the Project Delivery Team to support with governance, identifying and mitigating risks, and progress reporting of BA activities.

  • Establish, build and maintain excellent relationships across the business, engaging with a wide variety of subject matter experts and development teams.

  • Contribute towards improvement in ways of working including collaboration with other BAs on best practice and process for the role.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE?

 

  • Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst covering requirement gathering, process mapping and redesign.

  • Excellent workshop facilitation skills.

  • Able to provide high quality outputs e.g. requirements catalogue, Visio process flows.

  • Previous experience of “as is” and “to be” identification.

  • Analytical thinking and problem solving from small enhancements to major projects, you can model requirements from high to low level of detail.

  • Proactive and flexible in approach, can identify and challenge assumptions.

  • Excellent teamwork skills including expert listening and communication skills at all levels.

  • Experience in a SaaS business, Financial Services or Professional Services industry is desirable but not essential.

  • Strong technical acumen such as the ability to work closely with technical teams, systems, software providers etc.

  • Self-starting, can lead own work and build relationships across the business.
