Enterprise Business Development Sales

As a Business Development Manager/Director within our successful and expanding Enterprise Team you will be responsible for the delivery of a new business quota within agreed segments and markets.

Being supported by a Business Development Team you will develop a strong new business pipeline targeting large scale opportunities in specific vertical market sectors, such as Professional Services and Financial Institutions.   

You will be responsible for defining a development plan for the area you are targeting with clear objectives of winning market share.  By partnering with the marketing team your plan will include a strategy to drive growth through focused activities to the vertical markets you are working with.



  • Proven experience of delivering/exceeding in year new business of £750K plus

  • Prior experience in a SaaS sales or enterprise sales role

  • Strong knowledge of the data and analytics/AML sector preferably within Financial Services

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Experience of writing winning bids

  • Confident, positive and professional communication skills

  • An ambitious and consultative sales approach

  • Skilled at networking and relationship building

  • Excellent interpersonal skills who has the ability to interact at a range of levels to include c-suite

  • Self starter – with the confidence to build a network of leads through self generation

  • Demonstrable experience of winning business with high profile / key target clients

  • Able to uncover pain points and establish a narrative with key clients that allows the business to design appropriate solutions

  • Demonstrates thought leadership in the AML sector


  • Building brand presence within specific vertical market sectors

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the AML/KYB market when presenting the SmartSearch solutions to potential clients

  • Identifying and delivering key new business logos within the given vertical market sectors

  • Work closely with the Business Development Executive and Marketing Team in delivering a strong pipeline to meet/exceed in year sales targets

  • Negotiating multi year term commercially sound contracts for new customers

  • Build a strong network of key stakeholders across the vertical market sectors you will be working on

  • Proactive contribution to sales meetings, conferences and product development. This will take the form of chairing meetings and leading/developing training sessions
