HOW WILL YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

Working within an in-house software development team that launched a new version of their award-winning platform in 2022, the Software Automation Engineer is responsible for helping the Product Team to deliver an ambitious product roadmap by taking ownership of product quality and ensuring effective automated testing methods are utilized by the business. The new platform is fully modernized with cloud and API integration, and can be easily integrated and configured to client systems. You will help ensure that product quality expectations are met, risk is minimized during deployments, deadlines are reached and overall User Experience is improved.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE?

  • Experienced Software Automation Engineer with a strong understanding of PHP and expertise in test automation frameworks such as PHP Unit

  • Designed, developed, and maintained automated test suites using PHP and relevant test automation frameworks.

  • Ensure excellent collaboration with the QA team, Developers and Product Owners to understand the software requirements and design test cases that validate functionality, performance, and usability

  • Implement automated test scripts and execute them to identify defects and ensure consistent software quality throughout the development process.

  • Integrate test automation into the build and deployment process, ensuring continuous integration and delivery pipelines are properly tested.

  • Troubleshoot and debug test failures, identifying root causes and resolving these in a timely manner.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in software testing and automation, and actively contribute to improving our testing processes.

  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test data.

  • Strong understanding of the SDLC and STLC

  • Demonstrable experience using various test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Behat, Cucumber, JUnit, or similar

  • Actively contributes towards improving UX

  • Able to develop and monitor testing processes

  • Confident working with QA analysts and software developers to find solutions

  • Strong time management and communication skills to ensure deadlines can be met within an Agile environment
