What is an RCA?
An RCA refers to an individual who has a close personal or business relationship with another person, such as a family member, spouse, business partner, domestic partner, children, parents, close friends or someone with whom they have a close association. The concept of relatives and close associates is important in AML due to the potential risk they pose in facilitating money laundering and other illicit activities.
